Waiting...waiting...waiting...

And here we are...still in Eden...waiting...waiting...waiting...for our engine to be fixed. There is still no hard evidence as to why the engine just suddenly stopped. The batteries have now been replaced. They were a little tired. The starter motor is still being looked at in Bega at the auto electrical place. That got a work out while we were out at sea and trying all sorts of theories to get it going again. And then yesterday Pete found a whole lot of algae in the fuel filter which could also have been a contributing factor.

But whilst being stuck back in Eden, we managed to see my friends finish the George Bass Surfboat Marathon, who paddled right past us on Gradiva here at the finish line!

Ayla and I have been to Eden's Aslings Beach, did a big grocery shop which I had to carry back on the handle bars of Ayla's scooter! And we even fit in a little retail therapy on our way home!

We caught up with more friends, Terri and Bill Tuckwell, and had a sneaky look at their new dental practice, due to open next week! Check out their new website that I've been working on, starting it in Jervis Bay and putting the final touches on it, sitting here in Eden Harbour: pambula-dental.com.au

We borrowed Terri's car and drove out to see our blocks of land at Tura Beach. We had lunch and dinner at The Waterfront in Merimbula. Ayla and I did some more clothes shopping! Pete, Ayla and I had a swim at Mitchies Jetty! And Lisa and Paul McCooey dropped us back to the boat last night.

And here we still wait...but not a bad place to be stuck...here's Gradiva, still tied up to the Police jetty in Eden Harbour...

Wind has picked up again but is still blowing from the south so not a great time to try to get home yet anyway. So we will continue to wait and see what can be done with the starter motor...stayed tuned...
