Still out at sea with bad weather :(

Just spoke to Pete 1.45pm today (Saturday) and they are still 100 nautical miles off Fraser Island. They've been battling through some bad weather. He sounded really tired but just wanted to ring in to say they were all okay but probably still another 20 odd hours away.

Thanks to Frank Nott who assured me that the stormy weather was off the NSW coast and heading east so shouldn't be a problem up in Bundaberg but they are obviously still copping some nastiness out at sea which is apparently expected. She's a sturdy boat and handling well but must be hard work keeping it on a straight heading when you've got wind and swell and sounded like rain too.

Oh well, that's all part of the adventure I guess. And why he had all that wet weather gear packed!!
